And Susie was

Susie wasn’t part of our circle
She didn’t mean that much to me
But lot’s of friends I knew
Used to torment her
So strange how cruel girls can be.

They used to tease her
Calling her names
They used to taunt her
Playing their wicked games

And Susie wrote a note the day she killed herself
Her voice is screaming out while she lies in the ground
How in her greatest need not one of us stood by her
We were the trigger on the gun that shot her down
We brought her down

They printed extracts in the papers
Now everyone knows who to blame
They point their fingers now
With their accusing looks
The headlines read this school of shame

And me I stood there
Me in my apathy
If only I’d known then
What the outcome might be

And Susie wrote a note the day she killed herself
Her voice is screaming out while she lies in the ground
How in her greatest need not one of us stood by her
We were the trigger on the gun that shot her down

And Susie wrote a note the day she killed herself
Her voice is screaming out while she lies in the ground
How in her greatest need not one of us stood by her
We were the trigger on the gun that shot her down
We brought her down
